Take a Look into MIO’s Inspiring Interior Design with LB. Design Studio

LB. Design Studio are behind some of the Canberra region’s best residential interiors. Fortunately for buyers at MIŌ, LB. Design Studio are at the interior design helm of the development. What can buyers expect? Contemporary – yet enduring – style.

How would you describe MIŌ’s interior design and aesthetic?

The interior design for MIŌ is soft and neutral. Both the light and dark colour schemes aim to provide an inviting back drop for buyers to add their own personality to.

Where did the inspiration for MIŌ’s interior design come from?

The inspiration for MIŌ’s interior design comes from the local environment. Soft earthy tones throughout are inspired by the local landscape and textures throughout are influenced by the naturally occurring materials from the area. For example, the natural limestone bridge formed by Burra Creek.

How important was it to select finishes that will stand the test of time?

It was important for the interior design of MIŌ to stand the test of time. At LB. Design Studio, we don’t believe in designing for current trends but rather selecting classic materials that still look amazing in 10 or 15 years.

What advice would you give to MIŌ buyers who can’t decide between the light and dark colour schemes?

If you can’t decide between the light and dark schemes, my advice would be to think of spaces and items you are drawn to in everyday life – usually you will find a theme there. For example, when you are looking at real estate or interior design images, are you drawn to warm bright spaces or darker higher contrast spaces? What type of clothes do you gravitate towards, neutral beiges or greys and blacks? Your everyday choices will help guide your selection.

What is one of your favourite interior design elements at MIŌ?

My favourite design element is the integration of window furnishings. Not only does this make a huge difference aesthetically, but will set the whole feel of each space from the very beginning.
